Note (General): 今回の発掘調査成果とこれまでの調査地周辺にて採集された資料の調査によって、これまで内容が不明であった当遺跡について、遺跡の範囲が南北約370m、東西約200mの範囲に広がることを明らかにした。また、遺構変遷と出土遺物の検討から弥生時代中期前葉から遺跡が形成され、弥生時代中期後葉にかけて居住域が広く展開し、同時に弥生時代中期中葉後半から方形周溝墓からなる墓域が形成されることを指摘した。続く弥生時代後期には居住域と墓域の範囲が急速に小さくなり、古墳時代には遺構が消滅することを明らかにした。そして古代には、遺跡の北側で墓が小規模に形成され、中世から近世にかけて土坑や用水路と思われる溝が営まれたことを明らかにした。
