- 出版タイプ： NA土気城跡は過去４回調査されている。この内、今回の調査地点は三の曲輪内に含まれる。この曲輪内での調査は昭和62年に千葉市教育委員会が東京電力による送電鉄塔工事建設に先立ち行われている。今回の調査では奈良・平安時代の竪穴住居跡４軒と溝状遺構１条、中世と考えられる掘立柱建物跡５軒、地下式坑１基、井戸２基、土坑６基、ピット90基が検出された。検出された竪穴住居跡から奈良・平安時代の時期には集落の一部であった事が明らかになった。中世頃の時期については掘立柱建物跡や地下式坑・井戸が造られた場所であり、土気城に関連する遺構群であった事が推測され、土気城の三の曲輪の内でも居住域であった事が窺える。
