Note (General): [ホロカ沢１遺跡要約] 遠軽町白滝地域（旧白滝村）は国内有数の黒曜石産地で、地域内には旧石器時代の遺跡が100か所ほど存在している。ホロカ沢１遺跡は湧別川左岸段丘上に立地し、赤石山から流れ出る幌加湧別川と湧別川の合流点に近接している。　ホロカ沢１遺跡では石器ブロック21か所を検出し、三つの石器群（A1地区・A2地区・B地区）に区分した。各石器群の内容は、A1地区：「幌加型」細石刃核・石刃技法・剣菱形削器・舟底形石器・大型尖頭器を含む石器群、A2地区：舟底形石器・石刃技法・尖頭器を含む石器群、B地区（Sb-18から21）：「幌加型」細石刃核・大型石刃・舟底形石器を含む石器群、である。各地区の石刃技法にはそれぞれ技術的な特色がみられる。　A1・A2地区石器群では多量の原石・母型を搬入して、尖頭器・舟底形石器・石刃の生産作業がおこなわれている。また、B地区（Sb-18から21）石器群は白滝団体研究会の調査資料と同一石器群の可能性が高い。
