Note (General): 平安京左京六条二坊十二町において、4面（一部5面）の遺構面を検出した。調査地周辺の基盤層は古墳時代以前の氾濫堆積物によって形成され、11世紀前半の整地によって平坦化される。11世紀末～12世紀初頭に景石を持つ池SG150が造られ、その後石組を配する大規模な改造が行われたのち、12世紀初頭には廃絶する。その後13世紀初頭の土師器皿大量集積（SK090）、14世紀の池SG100などがあるが、中世後期は低調である。現在の町屋空間は17世紀中葉頃から形成されると考えられる。
