Note (General): [道祖ノ本遺跡要約] 近世の土坑約70基、埋甕２基が検出された。土坑数基は墓坑の上部が削平されたものとも考えれれるが、墓と特定できる遺物は出土していない。しかし、南に隣接する地区には五輪塔や古い墓石も散在することから、本遺跡は山麓の南斜面に広がる中・近世の埋葬跡とみられ、今回の調査区はその延長部分にあたると考えられる。埋甕は畑として利用されていた時期の水溜と推測される。陶磁器・土器・石製品・金属製品・銭貨等が出土した。最も出土量が多いのは近世陶磁器である。これらの中には肥前系磁器や萩焼が含まれており、江戸後期の陶磁器流通に関する資料となる。素焼きの管状土錘や寛永通宝も多く出土した。わずかではあるが、中世以前の遺物も確認されている。
