Note (General): [粉河寺遺跡要約] 　1区では計8面の遺構面を確認し、その内、5面について平面的な調査を行った。2区では計7面の遺構面を確認し、その内、5面について平面的な調査を行った。　遺構は、鎌倉時代の根固め石を伴う橋脚・木杭列、鎌倉・室町時代の各遺構面において石積護岸・石組溝・土坑を、江戸時代では、塀基礎・石積護岸・石組溝・土坑などを検出した。また、1・2区において、T.P.=53.00m以下の河川堆積層においても鎌倉時代の遺物の出土を確認した。3区では、遺物包含層の検出のみで、遺構は確認されていない。　出土遺物の大半は、主に各地区の屋敷地側整地土層や河川自然堆積層から出土した鎌倉・室町時代の土器類、鎌倉時代から江戸時代にかけての様々な瓦類で占められる。出土遺物には、土師器・瓦器・東播系須恵器・陶器・磁器、瓦、石造物、石製品、金属製品、木質遺物、自然遺物などがある。その他、特筆すべきものとして、古墳時代後期の須恵器1点、平安時代の土師器・瓦、室町〜江戸時代の遺物に混じって、溶解炉の破片1点・粗型の破片数点が出土している。3区では、平安時代後期の遺物がまとまって出土した。　遺物内容から見て今回の調査地では、11世紀代・12世紀前半・13世紀後半・14世紀後半〜15世紀前半・15世紀後半〜16世紀前半・18世紀中葉〜後半・19世紀に大きな画期のあることが判明した。
