[大保戸遺跡要約] 大保戸遺跡は相模川右岸に位置する。串川と相模川により形成された河岸段丘上に立地し、旧石器時代、縄文時代、奈良・平安時代、近世以降と複数の時代にわたって遺構・遺物が確認された。旧石器時代ではL1S層において文化層が確認された。細石刃関係の資料が出土しており、石材獲得から石器製作まで一連の作業工程を想定することができた。縄文時代では多数の落とし穴状土坑が検出され、狩り場として盛んに利用されていたことが明らかとなった。落とし穴状土坑には複数の形態パターンが認められた。遺構外からは早期から後期に帰属する土器が出土した。中でも早期に帰属する土器が大きな割合を占めている。弥生時代では落とし穴状土坑と考えられる土坑が数基検出された。奈良・平安時代は住居跡が検出されている。8世紀代と10世紀代のものがあり、時期差がみられる。近世は長方形土坑群をはじめとする耕作跡に関連する遺構が遺跡全体に展開しており、溝状遺構や柵列、ピット列による区画がみられる。
