Note (General): [野馬堀遺跡（2）要約] 野馬堀遺跡は、村田川河岸より台地内部へ入った遺跡で縄文時代の土坑5基、炉穴3基と奈良・平安時代の竪穴住居1軒が調査され、早期から中期にかけての縄文土器が検出された。 [ナキノ台遺跡（上層）要約] ナキノ台遺跡は台地上で大きく南北地区に分かれ、北側地区は縄文時代早期から中期を主体とする土器の包含層と早期の炉穴・陥穴群が検出された。土器の包含層は、早期は北側地区を中心とし、前期・中期は南側を中心とするが、時期毎にブロック状に集中する傾向があり、活動の中心となる区域が時期毎に異なる状況が観察された。古墳時代の集落は、南側地区に集中し台地平坦部の小規模な集落として中期から後期にかけて営まれたとみられる。集落が縮小された頃から方墳が営まれ、奈良時代以降は方形区画墓が、台地上に散漫な状態で計9基構築され、地下式横穴埋葬施設をもつものが2基あった。
