Note (General): 曲輪は基盤層となる岩盤を人工的に削り出して形成されており、調査区を南北に延びる現況の境界土塁基底部も曲輪と同じく、岩盤を人工的に削り出していることが明らかになった。出土遺物が伴わず構築時期が明確にはならなかったが、天路山城機能時のものと考えられる。　今回の調査地は、天路山城跡山頂にある主郭部分と山裾平坦部の土居と呼称される部分の中間に位置しており、平時は見張り場や土居から主郭への中継地点として、戦時においては防御のための曲輪として活用されたと推定する。
