Note (General): 有珠川７遺跡は苫小牧川との合流地点「有珠川橋」から上流へ直線距離で約2.6㎞の地点、有珠川の左岸に位置する。調査区内の地形は、東側から西側にのびる尾根で、先端部は現地標高21ｍの狭い台地である。主たる時期は縄文時代中期末葉～後期初頭である。遺構は竪穴住居跡３軒、土坑２基、石組炉１か所、焼土１か所、土器集中４か所、掘り上げ土１か所がみつかった。遺物は、土器は3,137点出土し、中期の天神山式、ノダップⅡ式、後期の余市式などがあり、晩期も少量ある。石器は2,292点で、定型的な器種は石鏃、石槍・ナイフ、スクレイパーで、黒曜石製が多い。礫石器は、磨製石斧、たたき石、すり石、石錘、砥石、台石がある。最多で目立つものは、使用により剥離した磨製石斧の破片と、漁労用の錘と推測する片麻岩製のレキ（自然礫）である。ほかに、石棒の柄の部分と多頭石斧（環状石斧）と呼称した円形の石製品が出土した。
