本稿の目的はバブル崩壊前後の資金循環構造において、本源的な資金供給主体である家計が果たした役割を明らかにすることである。経済全体の資金量を把握する統計として日本銀行発表の資金循環勘定があり、これを制度部門×制度部門に正方化した金融連関表を用いることで、家計の資金運用を起点とする金融商品ごとの資金波及経路の違いを考察した。その結果、バブル崩壊後民間非金融部門に資金が供給されなくなった原因は、家計の金融資産運用行動そのものにあるのではなく、銀行をはじめとする金融部門の国債偏重運用がもたらした資金循環構造の変化にあることが確認された。我が国の資金循環構造は1990年代を通じて資金波及を収縮させる方向に変容しており、この変化は現在もなお続いている。
