頭頸部扁平上皮癌において、Oct3/4、Nanogを発現する癌幹細胞様細胞の存在が、細胞遊走能および浸潤能を亢進し、上皮間葉移行(EMT)を誘導した結果、転移をきたしていると考えられた。このことから、Oct3/4,Nanogなどの癌幹細胞をターゲットとした再発・転移抑制の新規治療につながる可能性が示唆された。 Oct3/4 and Nanog expression putative cancer stem cells with enhanced cell migration and invasion, and then was thought to induce EMT, experiencing the metastasis in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. That could lead to new treatment for targeting cancer stem cells, such as oct3/4, Nanog recurrence and metastasis inhibition was suggested.
