Note (General): アンギオテンシンIIを介した細胞の増殖や間質の線維化および抗アポトーシスが胃癌の腹膜播種の成立に関与していると予想し、そのメカニズムの解明および治療への応用が可能か否かを検討した。その結果、胃癌組織中のアンギオテンシンII濃度は正常胃組織と比較して有意に高濃度であり、腫瘍周囲に浸潤した肥満細胞から発現されるmast cell tryptaseによって生成されることが明らかとなった。また、アンギオテンシンIIの受容体であるAT1は胃癌原発巣や腹膜播種巣に高率に発現していた。肥満細胞の機能を抑制し、かつTGFbの機能も抑制するトラニラストおよびAT1アンタゴニストのcandesartanを用いてマウス腹膜播種モデルにおいて播種が抑制されることを解明した。
