本研究課題は,運動と制御に係る機能を同一の仕組みで実現するモジュラーロボットシステムの開発を目的とし,単純機構によるモジュールが結合時に有意な機能を発現し得るシステムに関する検討と機構設計を行った.また,研究代表者らが従来取り組んできた,マトリクス状の多数のセンサ情報をアナログ演算に処理する回路網を形成する手法を,モジュラーロボットが結合時に形成する情報処理回路に対して応用する方法について提案と検討を行った.
This research aimed to develop a modular robot system generating locomotion and control function in an identical structure, mainly focusing on the design of the module having simple mechanism for constructing a system realizing a series of effective functions. Furthermore, the design of sensor circuit formable by connection of the modules was also discussed with applying a net-structure sensor network circuit we have developed for information processing of multiple sensor elements.
