Note (General): 肝臓脂肪蓄積を特徴とする非アルコール脂肪性肝疾患（NAFLD）が増加している。NAFLDの予防・治療に食事療法が不可欠だが、タンパク質摂取が食事療法において果たす役割は解明されていない。本研究では、マウスへの緑豆タンパク質給餌による脂肪肝・NAFLD抑制作用を検討した。緑豆タンパク質は、マウス肝臓における脂肪酸合成を抑制し、中性脂肪量を低下させた。また、緑豆タンパク質は、高脂肪高コレステロール飼料給餌によるNAFLDの進行を抑制した。本研究より、緑豆タンパク質がNAFLDの食事療法の一つになる可能性が示唆された。
The prevalence of NAFLD has increased with the increased prevalence of obesity and metabolic syndrome. Recent studies indicate that NAFLD onset and progression may be influenced by the nutrients in food as well as the total calories ingested. However, it isn’t revealed whether protein in food prevents NAFLD progression. In this study, we evaluated the potential of mung bean protein isolate (MPI) to prevent NAFLD progression. MPI decreased the hepatic triglyceride concentration by inhibition of fatty acid synthesis. Additionally, NAFLD progression by atherogenic diet was prevented by MPI intake. These results indicate that MPI reduced hepatic triglyceride accumulation and may be a food to prevent NAFLD progression.
