本研究では免疫系に情報伝達する胚シグナルとして透明帯、HCGおよびlaeverinに焦点をあて、その作用機序を解析した。その結果、免疫反応を誘起するHCGと透明帯蛋白のペプチド構造が推定でき、またr-laeverin とlaeverin発現細胞を作成して免疫細胞に対するlaeverinの作用が確認できた。さらに標識-r-laeverin を用いてlaeverinと結合する蛋白（受容体の候補分子）を胎盤から分離・精製し、これを同定することに成功した。一方で上記の知見をもとに胚シグナルによる免疫細胞の反応assay系の確立をすすめ、着床不全患者に対するスクリーニング法を開発する可能性が示された。
In this study, we examined the molecular mechanisms of embryonic signals, such as zona pellucida, HCG, and laeverin, which induce functional changes in the immune system. We identified the candidates of peptide-structures for embryonic signals from zona pellucida and HCG, and also confirmed the significant effects of laeverin on immune cells using r-laeverin and laeverin-overexpressing cell lines. We further identified a candidate for laeverin receptor by analyzing the proteins purified from placenta using labeled-r-laeverin. In addition, based on the above findings, we established an assay system to evaluate responsibility of immune cells against embryonic signals, which will contribute to developing a screening test for patients suffering from repeated implantation failure.
