N×Nエルミート行列全体の空間の上にガウス測度を考え(Gaussian Unitary Ensemble),そのN個の実固有値をR上の点配置とみなすことによってフェルミオンランダム点場が得られる.これと同様にしてN×N複素行列全体の空間の上にガウス測度を考える(Gillibre Ensemble)と,そのランダムな複素固有値はC上のフェルミオンランダム点場となり,N→∞の極限では平行移動と回転に関して不変な,積分核exp(zw^^-)に付随するフェルミオン点場に収束する.この複素平面上のフェルミオンランダム点場に対して,半径rの円内にある点の個数を数える確率変数n(r)を考え,その分散をフーリエ級数の方法で計算することにより,r→∞で期待値E[n(r)](=r^2)の1/2乗のオーダとなることを示した.これは,無相関のランダム場の典型であるポアソンランダム点場の場合に分散が期待値E[n(r)](=r^2)と同じオーダになるのと比較すると大きく異なることがわかる.また,確率変数の族{n(r)/E[n(r)],r>0}に対する大偏差確率P(a【less than or equal】n(r)/E[n(r)]【less than or equal】b)がr→∞で(1【not a member of】[a,b]ならば)exp(-Cr^4)のオーダで減衰することを示し,その漸近挙動にあらわれる定数も具体的に計算して大偏差原理を証明した.ポアソンランダム場の場合に大偏差確率がexp(-r^2)のオーダで減衰することを考慮すると大偏差についても特異な振舞いをすることが明らかになった.同じ問題を積分核exp(zw^^-)をもつボゾンランダム場についても考え,現象としてはポアソンランダム場と同様であることを示した.
