- 出版タイプ: NA航空エンジンの軽量化を目的に、SiC/Ti複合材料を構造部材に適用することの可能性を検討した。SiC/Ti複合材料とマトリックスであるTi合金の機械的特性を把握するため、Ti合金およびSiC/Ti複合材料の常温の引張試験を行い、引張強さ、弾性率、ポアソン比、破断伸びなどの材料強度特性を調べた。試験片の種類は、(1)HIP(高温静水圧圧縮)成形のTi合金(SP700)試験片、(2)圧延成形のTi合金(SP700)試験片、および(3)HIP成形のSiC(SCS-6)/Ti合金(SP700)複合材試験片の3種類である。引張破壊後の試験片について光学顕微鏡を用いて破断部、走査電子顕微鏡を用いて破面の観察を行った。本報では、これらの結果について述べた。Tensile tests of titanium alloy and SiC/Ti composites at room temperature were carried out to examine the strength characteristics of the materials. Before testing, finite element analysis was performed to confirm that no stress concentration exists on the present two shapes of specimens. Three types of material were used in the tensile tests SP700 titanium alloy manufactured by Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) forming, SP700 titanium alloy manufactured by roll forming, and SiC/Ti composites manufactured by HIP forming. In each test, tensile strength characteristics were measured, including tensile strength, elongation, elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio. After testing, the rupture area of each specimen was observed by optical microscope, and the fractured surface by scanning electron microscope.
