Note (General): 現在,航空輸送を補完する何らかの型式の快適,簡便,安全,経済的な移動/輸送手段が望まれており,その潜在需要があるといわれている。本稿は,一つのAerodynamic Ground Effect Graft(AGEC)を採り上げ,現用の代表的な商用輸送機,飛行艇および超低空航行という共通点を持つ超電導磁気浮上式鉄道(リニアモーターカー)と比較しながら,潜在需要に対する定性的な可能性を考察したものである。特に注目したことは,輸送量に対する有効エネルギー(エクセルギー)と,不時着時にも亜音速機の胴体着陸より比較的安全な「超低空巡航」という点である。AGECは,航空機より航続距離,輸送量が小さいが,輸送効率は航空機並み以上であり,リニアモーターカーに優るということができる。また,AGECの大型化に本質的な困難は無く,航空機を補完することのできる有力候補の一つと考えられる。
