Note (General): 大東文化大学が所在する板橋区高島平は、かつて徳丸原と呼ばれた。この「高島平」の地名は、長崎の有力な町年寄で西洋砲術を修めて高島流砲術を創始した幕末の高島秋帆に由来する。幕府に洋式砲術の採用を建議し、徳丸原で調練を実施したことはよく知られ、一時投獄され、蟄居を命ぜられたが、ペリー来航を機に許され講武所指南役となったことは歴史上有名である。その一方で秋帆が書道史上に注目すべき書を残していることはあまり知られていない。本稿は、秋帆の遺墨を集成し、書道史上に位置づけることを試みたものである。
