Note (General): 精神を見抜くことこそが「書を観る（鑑賞）」になるのではと考える。それは、中国の文章論における〈神〉の「作品に内在する精神的な本質」を見抜くことをいうであろう。およそ鑑賞は、芸術作品がもつ美しさ、〈神〉や〈神彩〉を享受する美的行為であり、直観的に、正直に「観る」ことであり、じっくり時間をかけて眺め、味わい、そして感じること、それが「美的享受」である。字形・形質を構成する線質・造形・構成などの形式美＝〈形質〉から、作品と作者の内容美＝〈神彩〉を享受することである。そして感じとった審美感を解釈し、最後に価値判断（評価）を下すこと、これが芸術の鑑賞法であろう。本作は、詩聖・杜甫が七五九年（乾元二年）秋に、ホタルのかぼそい光を見て詠んだ五言律詩「蛍火」の一枚書きである。コロナ禍の我が神（こころ）を言いえているからである。
