- 春光園花丸〔述〕 5冊 岡田氏(岡田玉山)画、木版刷り(白黒)。浪速書林版。寛政己未(1799）年成立。1巻～5巻のうちの第1巻。諸外国の風俗を描き、その解説を付した冊子。内容は解説・画とも事実と空想が混在している。本巻では、「大清国」(だいしんこく)・「琉球国」(りゅうきゅうこく)を含む東南アジアから東アジアの11の国々がテーマとなっている。当時の日本の社会が、異国にどのような関心を寄せていたかが理解できる資料といえる。Shunkōen Hanamaru; 23 cm; five books; artwork by Gyokuzan Okada, woodblock print (monochrome); Naniwa Shorin book reprint; completed in 1799. This book is the first volume in a series of five and depicts the customs and manners of foreign countries with commentary. The contents are a mix of both fact and fantasy. Volume one focuses on eleven countries in Southeast and East Asia, including Daishinkoku (Qing China) and Ryukyukoku (Ryukyu Kingdom). This material can help us understand the social interest in foreign countries among the Japanese at the time.
