- 本図は奥付に明治16年(1883)2月1日御届、同20年11月20日改願御届と記すので、明治16年発行した地図の改訂版であることが分かる。廃藩置県のあと明治4年11月には、大和は奈良県に、現大阪府域は大阪府と堺県に統合された。さらに、政府は府県の統廃合の方針に基づいて同9年4月に奈良県を廃止して堺県に併合し、同14年2月には大阪府が堺県を合併して摂・河・泉・大和を管轄することになる。しかし、大和では奈良県再設置運動が盛り上がり、同20年11月4日の勅令第59号で奈良県設置が公布されている。したがって、初版の時は大和は大阪府であったが、改訂版を出した同20年11月20日のときは奈良県が再設置されていた時期に当たる。表題の「大阪府奈良縣管内細見全図」のうち「管内細見全図」が自然な字配りなのに、「大阪府奈良縣」の所は字が詰みすぎているのは、最初「大阪府管内管内細見全図」であった表題に「奈良縣」の字を挿入したからであろう。本図には、国界と郡界の境界線が入り、郡名は四角で囲んで表示している。これは同11年の郡区町村編制法で郡に行政を行わせるようにしていたからである。なお、余白には「大阪市街細見之図」「堺市街之図」「奈良市街之図」も入れられている。
