- コレクション：絵図最上氏時代の山形城下絵図である。 本図は写本で、原図の所在及び作者等は現在も明らかになっておらず、また書写人とされる藤原守春についても文献では確認されておらず、詳細は不明である。 原図の成立や書写年代等については諸説があり、年代を直接証明する史料は確認されていない。定説では、最上家改易時の元和８年（1622）、幕府および鳥居氏との引継に使用されたもので、元和２年から元和８年頃の最上家57万石の城下が描かれているとされている。 近年相次いで発見された、慶長時代の山形城の様子を伝える、三の丸の出入口が10口で、城内に町人町が描かれている絵図（「秋元本」・「伊藤本」・「致道館本」他）の発見は、最上氏時代の山形城の推移を考えるうえで新風を吹き込んだといえよう。 本図は、現存する写本のうちで、色彩も鮮やかで、家臣の屋敷割や本丸・二ノ丸・三ノ丸の形態等が詳細かつ具体的に描かれており、描図や字体からも最も優れたもののひとつと言われている。
