- http://www.tosyokan.pref.shizuoka.jp/資料名：林子平 『精校海国兵談』 嘉永辛亥（４年）（１８５１年） １０巻１０冊展示会名：Digital 葵文庫印記：静岡学校、静岡師範学校、矢口氏所蔵記当館所蔵本は、嘉永４年（１８５１年）の再刻版である。 林子平（1738-1793）はこの本で「窃（ひそか）ニ思フニ江戸日本橋ヨリ唐土及ヒ阿蘭陀（オランダ）迄モ境目ナキ水路ナリ」（巻之１、２丁）と唱えて、江戸湾に外国船が侵入する可能性があることを指摘し、江戸湾の防備の必要性を説いた。 刊行は寛政３年（１７９１年）であった。しかし、老中松平定信（まつだいら さだのぶ）は、「世間に無用の不安をおこす」との理由でこの本の絶版を命じ、子平には蟄居を命じた。しかしわずか４か月後にはロシアからラックスマンが通商を求めて根室に来航し、子平の予見が現実のものとなった。 寛政５年（１７９３年）、子平は没したが、天保１２年（１８４１年）に罪を許された。これに伴いこの本の発禁も解除され、嘉永４年（１８５１年）に『精校海国兵談』として再刻された。請求記号：AJ21
