音楽の基礎力となる読譜力を幼児の段階から無理なく確実に身につけられるように段階を熟考してつくられてきている「リズムとソルフェージュ」のシリーズ最終巻となる第４巻。前著同様、「リズム」と「ふよみとソルフェージュ」の二つの部分に分かれ、それぞれを並行して進められるように各66の課題数から構成されている。第４巻では、復習もかねたやさしいものから始まり、リズムは４分音符、２分音符、８分音符を１拍とする様々な拍子の課題や、アウフタクト、シンコペーション、ヘミオラ、オスティナートとカノンを含む２声などまで。さらに応用力を養うために４分の５拍子、８分の５拍子もくわえられている。ソルフェージュ（新曲視唱）は、ハ長調６曲のみでその他の様々な調を扱い、応用として日本の旋律、ドリア調、リディア調も加えている。同じ著者による「アキピアノ教本」と同時併用することによってピアノ導入期から初級の演奏力が確実にすることが出来る。
