太政官牒4通を1軸にしたてる。牒は養老令の公式令（くしきりょう）で定められた公文書の様式の一つ。役所と寺院のやりとりには牒がもっぱら用いられた。これは太政官から東寺に定額僧を補充するため下したもの。破損がはなはだしい文書もあるが、紙面に「太政官印」を2ないし3捺している。定額寺は国家が保護、特典を与...
