宮澤賢治不朽の名作『銀河鉄道の夜』の音楽化を試みた信長貴富の意欲作。サブタイトルを「音画」とし、本文から「ケンタウルス」「ハルレヤ」「三角標」「ちらちら」「ゴーゴー」などの語句断片を抽出して構成されたユニークな作品である。「星めぐりのうた」や「双子の星」など、他の歌や詩からも引用されており、賢治の世界を俯瞰するかのような面白もある。楽曲には終始多彩な音響が現れ、銀河を旅する高揚感や現世と冥界の狭間を彷徨っているような神秘的な感覚など、聴き手に様々なイメージを想起させる。広島を拠点に活動する「混声合唱団ある」により委嘱・初演された。（指揮：松前良昌／ピアノ：浅井道子）
