四半世紀にわたって愛されてきた『トレバー・ワイ初級用フルート教本上』のリニューアル版。本書には、簡潔な言い回しで適確に表現するワイ氏の口調そのままに、新訳がほどこされ、さらに、新たに独習用としても復習用としても使えるCDがついた。<br/>本書は、名指導者として知られるトレヴァー・ワイにより、フルートの構え方から、徐々に音域を広げていき、様々な調で演奏できるようになるまで、体系的に組まれたフルート入門書。低音域からはじめ、全音域で良い音質をつくる基礎を身につける、というのが特徴である。また、豊富に掲載された楽曲は、ソロで、デュエットで、ピアノやギターとともに（ピアノ伴奏譜は別売）、演奏できるようになっている。はじめてフルートを手にした人にも、分かりやすく、楽しく学べる1冊。<br/>付属CDには、本書の掲載曲の、トレヴァー・ワイ自身によるフルート模範演奏、ピアノ伴奏のみの2種類を収録。<br/>
