労働者階級出身の黒人女性であるミシェル・オバマは、目標を達成するため、ときに偏見に悩まされながら、プレッシャーを感じることも多い環境のなかで道を切り開いてこなくてはなりませんでした。ファーストレディとして与えられた舞台の上で、彼女は多様性の強みに目を向け、不平等に直面した際はその力を感じるよう人々を励ましてきました。
