- 日本国憲法の枠組みの中にある戦後日本政治。自民党と社会党のイデオロギー対立は１９６０年の安保改定問題で頂点を迎える。以降、自民党は経済成長に専心し、一党支配を盤石にした。80年代末以降は「改革」が争点となるも、民主党政権を経て、第二次安倍政権以降は再び巨大与党と中小野党が防衛問題を主な争点として対峙している。本書は憲法をめぐる対立に着目して戦後政治をたどり、日本政治の現在地を見極める。
