- 2023年12月20日 東芝 上場廃止その背景には何があったのか？財務担当副社長も経験した著者は東芝から巨額の損害賠償を求められたが、2025年3月東京高裁は一審を覆し賠償請求を退けた。米国原発事業の莫大な工事損失と、第三者委員会報告書の闇。当事者だからこそ持ち得る視点と資料から、経営不祥事の深層に迫る。2023年12月20日、東芝は上場廃止となり株式上場74年の歴史に幕を下ろした。1875年の創業以来、これが東芝の歴史上最大級の不祥事であることは間違いないだろう。上場廃止の直接のきっかけは、2006年に買収した米国原子力発電機器メーカー・ウェスチングハウス社（WEC）の経営の失敗と、それに大きな影響を与えた2015年に発覚した「東芝不適切会計」への曖昧な対応である。「東芝不適切会計」では、当時の社長3人と私を含む執行役財務担当2人が東芝から訴えられた。裁判は信じられないほど長期化した。私は当初、裁判になれば事実や真実が明らかになるはずと楽観していた。しかし、2023年3月28日東京地裁判決で負けてしまった。裁判で潔白が明らかにならないのなら、出版で真実を訴えたいと思ったのが、この本を書いた一つの理由である。さらに東芝上場廃止の最大の原因であるWEC案件は、裁判でも第三者委員会報告書においても一切核心が明らかになることはなかった。むしろ東芝や第三者委員会はWEC案件の巨額な工事損失を表沙汰にしないようにしたとすら思える。この東芝が曖昧に終わらせようとしているWEC案件を明らかにすることがもう一つの理由である。（本文より）
