Note (General): 本論文は、大江健三郎の小説やエッセイ・文学論等を含む言説全体を視野に置き、七〇年前後に顕著となった大江自身の〈想像力〉の探求と自己検証を起点に、およそ八〇年代半ばまでの文学活動の〈実践〉の展開を追った。中でも『ヒロシマ・ノート』『沖縄ノート』に次ぐ『文学ノート』は、小説『洪水はわが魂に及び』との併読を企図した「創作ノート」であり、かつ、執筆中の自分自身を分析した「臨床報告」として刊行されていることから、大江の〈想像力〉の軌跡を考察する上で重要な〈ノート〉であると位置づけた。その上で『文学ノート』と『洪水はわが魂に及び』の併読により摘出した「開かれた自己否定」「祈り」「ヴィジョン」といったキーワードを手がかりにして、八〇年代半ばまでの小説やその他の言論を分析した。その結果、「想像力」に端を発した大江の自己検証と〈実践〉が、「神と呼ぶところのもの」に接近し得る前段階としての、「『祈り』と呼ぶほかにないもの」の位相へと逢着する推移を確認した。
