Note (General): 生物の振る舞いや運動の原理を把握することは生物学，行動生態学の分野において大きな意味合いを有す．これらの解析に向けて，動画像データに基づく計測手法は一般的に広く用いられている．最もベーシックなものとして専門家による目視計測があり，また，計測のためのアプリケーションが用いられるケースもある．しかし，これらの計測方法はそれぞれ幾つかの課題を孕んでいる．目視計測では，計測者の計測ミスや各計測者によるバイアス，そして時間コストが課題となり，アプリケーションによる計測では金銭的なコストがかかる点が課題となる．ある生物を対象とした研究に従事することを考えた場合，計測ツールは限られた資金内で確保する必要があり，その生物に特化したデバイスやソフトウェア等を揃えることは難しい．すなわち，我々が一般的に入手可能でかつ必要十分な精度を備えた計測デバイスを用いて生物の挙動を計測することを想定したときに，十分な計測精度を満たすための計測手法を見出す必要がある．以上を踏まえ，本研究は生物の行動を記録した動画像データに対し，生物の行動を自動的かつ低コストで計測するための手法構築を目指したものである．動画像におけるパタン計測を考えたとき，撮影環境および対象の挙動により生じる不良条件に対応する必要がある．不良条件には照明変動に起因する輝度変動や対象に生じる姿勢変化（回転）等が考えられるが，特に姿勢の変化は各時刻で生じ，かつ不規則性を持つ場合もあるため極めて重要な課題であると言える．本研究では，第一としてこの回転に対し頑健性を持たせることを考える．今回は回転運動を発現する生物としてメダカOryzias latipes とアギトアリ属に属すアギトアリO:monticola およびオキナワアギトアリO:kuroiwae を研究対象と設定し，それぞれの行動および付属肢の運動計測を行うための画像パタン計測法について議論を展開する．
Understanding the principles of the behavior and movement has a great significance in the fields of biology and behavioral ecology. For the purpose of analyzing these, imagebased measurement is generally widely used. The most basic is visual measurement by specialists, and there are also cases where an application for measurement is used. However, each of these measurement methods has some problems; human error, measurer bias, time cost, and financial costs. When considering conducting research on a certain organism, it is necessary to secure measurement tools with limited funds, and it is difficult to provide devices and software specialized for that organism. In other words, it is necessary to find a measurement method that satisfies sufficient measurement accuracy when we assume that the behavior of living organisms is measured using a measurement device that is generally available and has sufficient accuracy. Based on the above, this study aims at constructing a method for automatically and inexpensively measuring the behavior of living organisms from moving image data that records the behavior of living organisms. When considering pattern measurement in moving images, it is necessary to cope with poor conditions caused by the experimental environment and the behavior of the target. In particular, the posture change is the most important task because it occurs at each time and has irregularities. We first consider constructing a method that is robust against this rotation. In this study, we treat some creatures as organisms that express rotational movement: Oryzias latipes, and Odontomachus genus. We discuss image pattern measurement method to measure each action and movement of appendages.
