Note (General): ヒト間葉系幹細胞(HMS0014)を，コラーゲンゲル(Cellmatrix Type I-A)をスキャホールドとした3次元培養を行い，そこにチタンインプラント体を包埋した．細胞を骨芽細胞様細胞へ分化誘導し，インプラント体周囲にみられる硬組織形成の様相をin vitroで観察および検討した．インプラント体と周囲のスキャホールドの変化を経日的に観察した後，チタンインプラント体は周囲のスキャホールドと一塊として切り出し，樹脂包埋して研磨標本を作製した．また，インプラント体周囲のスキャホールドから凍結切片とエポン超薄切片を作製した．観察の結果，インプラント体表面に骨芽細胞様細胞の接着と石灰化物の沈着がみられた．スキャホールドにおいてはHMS0014細胞はCellmatrixの3次元網状構造を基礎にコラーゲン線維を分泌し，コラーゲン線維に関連する石灰化と細胞外マトリックスのターンオーバーを制御する組織像がみられた．contact osteogenesisとdistant osteogenesisの出現がみられたことにより，インプラント療法におけるtissue-engineering materialとしてのコラーゲンゲルの有用性が示唆された．
