本論文は3つの部分で構成されている。一つには、歯車測定機による歯面の測定とその表面性状の評価を行った。二つ目には超微細ピッチ歯車測定のための接触型プローブの開発と疑似粗さ評価への応用を検討し評価を行った。三つ目にはガウシアンフィルターによる歯すじ測定結果を適用したホブ切り歯車のピッチ誤差測定を安定化させる手法について提案し、その有効性について評価を行った。
