本研究は、連続炭素繊維織物材を強化材とした厚板の炭素繊維強化熱可塑性プラスチックに適用する部分曲げ加工プロセスの考案および実証を目的とした。部分曲げ加工において、曲げ部にシワを発生させないことは、原理的に不可能である。そこで、曲げ部のシワ形成過程を制御することで、機械特性に影響が少ないシワ形態を意図的に形成させる手法を考案し、その機械特性を評価した。考案した多段モーション部分曲げ加工プロセスは、厚板の炭素繊維強化熱可塑性プラスチックの簡便な曲げ加工技術として有効であること示し、部分曲げ加工の基本プロセスを確立した。
