Note (General): 本論はカンボジア人日本語学習者の読解力向上を目的として、カンボジアの日本語教育の読解指導に日本の国語教育の方法を導入し、カンボジア人に特化した日本語教材テキストと副教材を開発することを目的とする。本論の内容は、まず、王立プノンペン大学外国語学部日本語学科の授業のありかたを検証し、その改善のために、日本の「学習指導要領」の「読解」指導の変遷を辿り、宮澤賢治作品の日本の国語教科書における採用状況を調査し、使用教材として中学校１年生国語科教科書に長く採用されてきた『オツベルと象』を研究の対象に定めた。次に、日本の国語教育における『オツベルと象』の学習指導について、「学習指導要領」「国語学習指導要領」と教科書単元末の「学習の手引き」を分析した。そして、カンボジアに特化した日本語教材本文テキスト、副教材クメール語翻訳テキストの作成を目的として、『オツベルと象』の本文研究を行った。その成果を踏まえて、日本語教材『オツベルと象』の本文テキスト、『オツベルと象』のクメール語訳テキストを作成し、これを用いて、本大学の「日本文学」の授業のための『オツベルと象』の授業計画を立案し、日本人学生の協力を得て聴覚教材『オツベルと象』朗読劇 DVD制作について報告した。
