The effect of Partial cover on corrosion of rebar that results due to bending of spacer bars during counstruction in Concerte was investigated by using electrochemical methods.Partial cover would result in reducing the life of RC bridge at 100 m from sea by 57 years for low W/C concrete of 0.30.Silane, Silicate and lithium-Nitrite Gel surface penetrants were used as countermeasure. Silane was recommended at 100 m and 250 m for difficient cover up to 20 mm while silicate at 250 m for only 5 mm difficient cover.
