• Note (General): 豪雨や急激な融雪にともなう地表水の地下浸透によって，すべり面付近の間隙水圧は上昇し，地すべりが発生するという成因論を研究者の多くは受け入れている。しかしながら，積雪地域においてさえ，降雪期前から積雪初期の渇水期である11月～12月に地すべりが発生することがある。さらに，大規模地すべりの成因については諸説あるものの，未だに定説は確立されておらず，不明な点も多い。本研究は，地すべり運動あるいは地すべり発生と密接な関係にある地下水の挙動に焦点を結び，新潟県東頸城～中頸城地域を研究対象地域として実施された。本調査地域は，わが国を代表する豪雪地帯であると同時に全国有数の地すべり多発地帯でもある。本地域には新第三系堆積岩類が広く分布し，断層を伴う活褶曲運動によって形成された背斜構造が複数配列している。1990年代以降の自動観測機器の進歩・普及によって，積雪下における地中変位・移動量の連続的データが数多く集積されるようになった。本研究では地すべり防止工事施工前の21地区における65の観測事例を検討した。その結果，全体の90％以上は融雪期以前に運動を開始し，とくに積雪初期に運動を開始する地すべりが多数存在することが明らかになった。このことは，積雪地域の地すべりのほとんどは融雪の影響と無関係に運動を開始していることを示唆している。背斜軸近傍の複数の地すべり地，とくに大規模地すべり地からは高塩分濃度地下水の湧出が多数報告されている。水質および環境同位体組成から，高塩分濃度地下水は石油・天然ガス付随水と類似の起源をもつ化石海水由来の地下水である。地すべり地にみられる高塩分濃度地下水は，化石海水を起源とする地下深部の異常高圧深層水と天水起源の地下水の混合で説明できる。深部の異常高圧深層水は，断層・亀裂を通じて地表近くまで上昇し，地すべり土塊中に注入していると考えられる。釜塚・段子差大規模地すべり地の排水トンネル内においても，ボーリングの先端が地表から30m以深の位置にある多数の排水孔より高塩分濃度地下水の湧出が確認された。水質および環境同位体組成より，これら高塩分濃度地下水は化石海水であり，石油・天然ガス付随水と比較すると椎谷層に賦存する地層水と酷似する。高塩分濃度地下水は，最初に地下水調査を実施した2002年以降，水質および同位体組成にほとんど変化がみられない。このことは，地表から浸透した天水起源の地下水は高塩分濃度地下水と混合していないこと，換言すれば，天水起源地下水がすべり面付近まで到達した痕跡がないことを意味する。; 宇津俣地すべり地においてCSAMT法電磁探査を行ったところ，深度300m付近に超低比抵抗領域の存在が確認された。これは，高電解質濃度の水溶液を含む地層が存在することを意味しており，化石海水起源の高塩分濃度地下水が賦存していることを示唆する。既往研究では，高塩分濃度地下水は断層に沿って上昇すると推定されたが，比抵抗分布からは地質の成層構造，亀裂系など透水性の高い経路を選択しながら時間をかけて地すべり土塊まで上昇していることが伺える。他方，釜塚・段子差大規模地すべり地においても同様の探査を行ったところ，深度50～300mに超低比抵抗領域の存在が確認された。これも化石海水起源の高塩分濃度地下水であると考えられ，排水トンネル内に湧出する高塩分濃度地下水の賦存状況と調和的である。調査地域の背斜軸付近に分布するすべり面の深い大規模地すべり地では，高塩分濃度地下水が地下深部から高い水頭圧と一定の水量で供給され続けており，地表水の地下深部への浸透を抑制し，結果として地下水頭の高い水文環境が形成されている。既往研究および本研究の調査結果を総合すると，調査地域の地すべり地，とくに背斜軸付近の地すべり地の地下水は3 層に分類される水文構造を有すると考えられる。最も地表面に近い「浅層型低濃度地下水」は地すべり地内あるいはその近傍から降雨・融雪水などが地下へ浸透して形成された地下水である。その下位にある「大循環型外来地下水」は地すべり地外で涵養され，比較的広範囲を流れている地下水である。水質は長時間におよぶ流動の過程で水－岩石相互作用によって形成される。「湧昇型深層外来地下水」は地表から浸透した天水の影響を全く受けず，地下深部から湧昇している地下水である。; すべり面深度の浅い地すべりは，他の地すべりに比して天水の浸透の影響をより受けやすい。すべり面は「浅層型低濃度地下水」が賦存する領域に存在し，いわゆる「融雪地すべり」の多くがこれに該当する。大規模地すべりのすべり面付近には「湧昇型深層外来地下水」が存在し，地表から浸透した天水起源地下水の流動を規制している。「大循環型外来地下水」の水位は年間を通じて変動しないが，水温は1年周期で緩やかに上下変動している。地下水温は，上位の「浅層型低濃度地下水」への融雪水の浸透による冷却を受けて低下し，融雪終了後から晩秋－初冬期に向かって回復する傾向を示している。地中変位・移動量の連続的データを整理すると，積雪初期に反復して運動する地すべりが複数みとめられ，運動開始時期と「大循環型外来地下水」の水温の極大期が一致する。すべり面深度のやや深い地すべりのすべり面は「大循環型外来地下水」の分布する領域にある。見かけ上の地下水位は高い位置にあり，年間を通じてほぼ一定で，深部には「湧昇型深層外来地下水」が定位置に存在する。融雪期に多量の融雪水が浸透すると，下向きの流動が生じることで浸透水圧が発生し，やや深いすべり面に作用する間隙水圧は減少する。反対に，積雪初期には地表からの浸透水よりも「大循環型外来地下水」の割合が相対的に増大することによって上向きの流動が生じ，すべり面に作用する間隙水圧が増加する。これにより積雪初期に反復して運動する現象を合理的に説明できる。; A lot of investigators believe what most of landslides have induced by heavy rainfall or rapid snowmelt and have been caused by rising pore water pressure consequent upon surface water infiltration. However, landslides in the snowy areas have sometimes occurred in dry season just before the snowfall period. Furthermore, there are several hypotheses in relation to the timing and mechanism of large-scale landslides, but so far there is no established theory by academic circles. This study on landslide movements was focused on groundwater behaviors closely related to landslide occurrences and was conducted in the Higashi-Kubiki and Naka-Kubiki areas of Niigata Prefecture, the northern part of central Japan. These areas are not only the heaviest snowy areas but also the most famous landslide-prone areas in Japan where the Tertiary sedimentary sequences have been distributed thickly and deformed by active folding and faulting. Since 1990s automatic observation systems in the landslide areas have been established and have enabled us to obtain the detail data about landslide movements during the snowy period. To better understand the behaviors of landslides in Niigata Prefecture, the author investigated 65 datasets from the observation systems of the pipe strain or the multi-layer movement meter at 21 landslides. The behaviors were classified into five patterns based on the temporal variation of landslide motion. In addition, these data show that the 90% of landslides started sliding before the snowmelt period and the few landslides (<5%) started sliding in early spring of the snowmelt period. These findings suggest that the infiltration of snowmelt water is not a triggering factor for the starting of landslide movement. High salinity groundwaters have appeared in active landslides or large-scale landslides around anticlinal axes. As the result from hydrochemical and environmental isotopic analyses, these saline waters are originated from fossil seawaters associated with oil and natural gas trapped within the thick sedimentary sequences and shielded by impermeable strata such as mudstone and shale. Under these conditions, the fluid pressure greatly exceeds hydrostatic pressure and consequently approaches lithostatic pressure. The saline groundwaters have formed by mixing of meteoric groundwater and the highly pressurized fossil seawater which ascends through tensional fractures along the anticlinal axes and injects into the landslide mass. The fossil seawaters, approximately 16,000mg/kg of chloride concentration, have discharged from the drainage tunnel constructed to drain groundwaters around sliding surface in the Kamazuka-Dangosashi landslide which is one of the large-scale landslides in the research areas. Both hydrochemical and environmental isotopic compositions of the discharged fossil seawaters have been almost constant since the first investigation in 2002. These phenomena imply that there is no mixing of meteoric groundwaters and the fossil seawaters with have been continuously derived from deep reservoirs.; The CSAMT method electromagnetic exploration in the Utsunomata landslide, the other large-scale landslide, revealed that there are several super low resistivity zones around -300m depth from the ground level and pathways to the landslide mass. From the exploration in the Kamazuka-Dangosashi landslide, the super low resistivity zone was emerged wide spreading between -300m and -50m depth from the ground level. It is interpreted that the super low resistivity zones contain high concentration of electrolyte solution such like the fossil seawaters. The continuous intrusions of high salinity and highly pressurized ground waters in to the large-scale landslides have obstructed the meteoric groundwater circulations and have consequently constituted the situation of chronically high groundwater tables in landslide-prone slopes. In the landslide-prone slopes, it is likely that groundwater circulation cells are classified into the following three types; "shallower type" groundwater is formed by in-situ infiltration of rain or snowmelt waters in and near the landslide area, "wide circulation type" groundwater is formed by the recharge far from the landslide area and is circuiting for the long time, and "upwelling type" groundwater is derived from the deeper pressurized reservoirs. Most of shallow landslides induced by heavy rainfall and rapid snowmelt are influenced by "shallower type" groundwaters. In case of the large-scale landslide, "upwelling type" groundwater has been situated around the sliding surface and has controlled groundwater circulation in the landslide mass. "Wide circulation type" groundwater has usually high pressure-head and shows annually almost constant water head but groundwater temperature shows slight seasonal variation because of conductive cooling caused by snowmelt infiltration into the upper aquifer. There are several landslides which have repeatedly activated in dry season just before the snowfall period every year and that the start of sliding has coincided with the timing of the highest groundwater temperature. In these landslides, it seems that the sliding surfaces are hydrogeologically located in aquifers of "wide circulation type" ground waters. In early spring of snowmelt period, the large quantity of groundwater infiltration has generated downflow and high seepage pressure, and has consequently reduced pore water pressure around the sliding surface. In contrast, the downflow of groundwater has completely stopped in dry season, and subsequently the upflow of groundwater from the "wide circulation type" aquifer has been allowed and consequently generated excess pore water pressure in the sliding surface.
