• Note (General): Recently, renovations of plant equipment have been more frequent because of the shortened lifespans of the products, and as-built models from large-scale laser-scanned data is expected tostreamline rebuilding processes. However, the laser-scanned data of an existing plant has anenormous amount of points, captures intricate objects, and includes a high noise level. Thus,automation of the recognition and 3D model construction processes from point clouds need to bestrongly promoted in the plant engineering field. Besides, the laser scanned data of the plant hasmany occluded regions which have no scanned point, and it is difficult to recognize the object inthe regions. To solve the problem, other scanned data which scanned from different positionsshould be registered. However, the scanner positions are often decided by the operator'sexperimental rules. Thus, these positions are not necessarily efficient.Therefore, the purpose of this research was to propose two algorithms for the piping system inthe plant: 1) automatic recognition of straight pipes, connecting parts and their connectionrelationships of the piping systems from the terrestrial laser-scanned data of plant equipment, 2)automatic estimation of next best scanner position which can minimize the occluded region on the piping systems.In this paper, we evaluate the recognition accuracy and running time, and demonstrate theeffectiveness of this method from experiments using scanned data of real plants and a quasi-laserscanned data created from a 3D plant model.; 近年，製品のライフサイクルの短命化に伴い，既存プラントの設備の変更・増設が繰り返されている．そこで現在，設備のレーザ計測点群を基に，既存設備の変更が反映された3次元形状モデル(as-builtモデル)を作成することで，工程管理による作業の効率化を図る動きが出てきている．しかし，プラント設備をレーザスキャナで計測した点群データは，非常に膨大かつ大きな計測ノイズを多く含んでいる．そのため，点群データから配管などの3次元モデルを構築するには，現在多くの手作業に頼っており，その自動化が求められている．また，プラントのレーザ計測時において，計測点群には物体の陰に隠れて計測できないオクルージョン領域が多数存在し，領域内部の物体を認識することが困難である．こうした領域を解消するためには，異なる位置から計測した点群をレジストレーションする必要がある．しかし，現状ではこれらの計測位置は操作者の経験則に基づいて決定しているため，熟練者でなくては判断できないことに加えて，計測位置の選択が必ずしも効率的とは限らないといった問題がある．そこで本研究では，プラント設備の3次元モデル化に必須の対象となる配管系統を対象とした以下の2つの手法を提案する：1)プラント内部のレーザ計測点群から配管系統に含まれる直進パイプ，接続要素，及びそれらの接続関係を全自動で認識する手法，2)配管系統のレーザ計測時におけるオクルージョンを最小化するスキャナ位置を自動で推定する手法.また本論文では，実際のプラントのレーザ計測点群とプラント内部を模した3Dモデルから生成した擬似計測点群に対して，認識精度と処理時間の評価を行い，本手法の有効性を検証する．; (主査) 教授 金井 理, 教授 小野里 雅彦, 教授 金子 俊一, 教授 山下 裕, 准教授 伊達 宏昭; 情報科学研究科（システム情報科学専攻）
