• Summary, etc.: 本作品は、昭和10年(1935)、中山森彦博士が仙厓の百年忌にあわせて、山崎朝雲(1867～1954)に制作依頼したもの。仙厓像制作を熱望する博士の様子は、朝雲宛の手紙よりうかがえるが、その完成には5年を要している。朝雲は亀山上皇像で知られる博多出身の彫刻家であり、本作品の仙厓像には、高僧の高潔、峻...
