Note (General)：: 国学者。旧秋月藩士。宮永保親に国学和歌を、坂田九郎右衛門に有職故実を学ぶ。小笠原流の指南でもあった。大宰府神社等諸神社の宮司を歴任、考古学の普及にも努めた。私立福岡図書館設立の中心人物の一人で、廣瀬文庫に旧蔵書が多数含まれている。また、自筆稿本類は九州大学附属図書館に収蔵されている。
