Note (General)：: 福岡藩士高橋武経の子。高橋家は代々御料理方として藩に仕えた。楽地は幼い時から学を好み、文章と書に長じ、かたわら剣法を修めた。藩学修猷館の訓導となり、またその仁愛教育の厚きを慕い家塾にも弟子が満ち、多くの傑出の士を育てた。その蔵書は、九州大学附属図書館に楽地文庫として収蔵されている。
