Analysis：: 上野恵美須町に所在する神護山山渓寺の敬叟和尚による天明7年（1787）の墨書である。敬叟和尚は、寛政3年（1791）に年貢の減免を求めて直訴に及んだ山田郡下友生村絈屋忠次郎の訴状作成に関わったとして、翌年久米川原で打首となった。没後、人びとの窮状を訴え犠牲となった敬叟和尚は、久米町に山渓地蔵尊として...
