• Note (General): 小学校の地理教科書。沖縄師範学校が作成した稿本を修正委員が見直し、更に校訂したもの。本書の構成は、総論・本島・中頭・国頭・島尻・属島・両先島・地名読例からなる。沖縄県略図の地図あり。冒頭には、明治17(1884)年の沖縄県令の西村捨三による附言がある。; This is an elementary school geography textbook based on a manuscript prepared by Okinawa Normal School and proofread and revised by an editing committee. It is composed in order of a general introduction, information about the main island, Nakagami, Kunigami, and Shimajiri regions, territorial islands, Miyako and Yaeyama (<i>Ryōsakishima</i>), and on the last few pages, it adds the furigana on the right side of each of place names. A map of Okinawa Prefecture is also included. This textbook begins with an additional foreword by NISHIMURA Sutezō, the governor of Okinawa Prefecture in 1884.
