Note (General): 藤原為房は平安時代後期（1049～1115）の公卿で、父は但馬守隆方、母は右衛門権佐平行親の娘。後三条・白河・堀河三天皇の蔵人、鳥羽天皇の蔵人頭を勤めた。博識をもって実務にあたり、のちの勧修寺一門の隆盛の基礎を築いた。「大府記」は為房の日記で「為房卿記」「大記」「大御記」ともいう。部分的に残存する文章も含めて現存するのは延久2年から永久2年（1070～1114）で、1年分が完全に存する年次はなく断続的である。朝廷の公事に詳しく、院政初期の政治動向を知りうる史料である。
