Note (General): 写本 , 袋二ヵ所綴 , 白地梧桐押型模様表紙 , 題簽中央「琵琶湖疏水圖誌上(中・下)」 , 識語(各巻首) 河田小龍筆 , (上)「疏水關係地工事着手／前之畧全圖七葉／自大津三保崎運河／至藤尾村井状坑圖／二十六葉」 (中)「疏水圖志第二篇／自第一隧道西門至／第三隧道東門／殘數三十五葉内未成六葉」 (下)「疏水圖志第三篇／自第三隧道西門至／第六隧道北門并屏風縮圖／殘數四十八葉内未成十一枚」 , 彩色精密画 , , 本書は河田小龍が京都府知事北垣国道の依頼を受けて、明治22（1889）年5月より5年余りかけて琵琶湖疏水工事の様子を写生したものを基本に、400枚以上のスケッチから61景、171枚を選び「琵琶湖疏水図誌」としてまとめたもので、上・中・下の3巻からなる。絵の表現は精緻で銅版画のような細密画で描かれており、最後の俯瞰図は明治23（1890）年の第3回内国勧業博覧会に出品された「疏水水路図屏風」の基絵となった。なお、「琵琶湖疏水図誌」は記念として明治天皇に献上されたが、本書は作者が副本として手元に残しておいたもので、本来は解説文2巻があったが失われている。
