Exploring Japanese Landmarks in Nishiki-e and Photographs

Futamiura

A delta area at the mouth of Isuzu River, flowing into Ise Bay. It has long been known as a scenic spot in Ise. Many worshipers visit here as a place of purification before visiting Ise Jingu Shrine. It is famous for Futami-Okitama Shrine and the Meoto-iwa (Wedded Rocks).
