Exploring Japanese Landmarks in Nishiki-e and Photographs

Komagatado

A hall located on the west side of the present day Komagata-bashi Bridge. It is said both that this was built on the location where the Senso-ji Temple Honzon (principal image of the Buddha) was found from the Sumida-gawa River, or that this was once the locations of the Senso-ji Temple main gate. It is dedicated to the Batokannon. The present day location is slightly to the north.
